Spec for spec, Korean print pricing generally comes in under US quotes. Our floor runs year-round, and the rate reflects that volume. The gap widens with run length — freight is mostly a fixed cost per shipment, so books, reports and catalogs in the thousands benefit most. The exact numbers come as an itemized quote.
Nothing goes to press without an approved proof or physical sample. Our team attends the press check on every job, and Siha inspects finished goods before release.
Most print quotes end at the factory gate. Ours continues — export documents, ocean freight, customs, door delivery. How far we take it is your choice of three options.
Our work is printed in Euljiro — Seoul's historic printing district. Our team runs a press check on every job, standing at the press when the color is decided, and inspects finished goods before anything leaves for the port.
Not everything runs on one floor, by design. Packaging such as cosmetics boxes and specialty finishing go to presses built for exactly that. Wherever a job prints, the specs, schedule, inspection and accountability stay with Siha.
Even our Korean clients rarely visit the press floor — the process is built so nobody has to. You never have to fly out, and you still see everything.
Stock samples, unprinted dummies and physical proofs go out by international courier — on your desk within days. You approve from the real thing, not a screen.
Press-check and inspection reports — photos and short video from the press, random pulls from the finished run, packing condition — sent the same day.
Container-loading photos and shipping documents shared at departure. You know where your cargo is after the ship leaves, not just before.
Five approval gates — quote, proof, press-check report, inspection report, shipping notice. Nothing moves to the next stage without your sign-off.

Four-color offset builds every color from four inks, and some colors that look right on a screen cannot be reproduced that way — bright oranges, vivid greens, deep blues. Converting from RGB without reviewing the result is where most color disappointment comes from.
We convert, flag anything that shifts, and show you a proof. For work where color is central — art books, brand publications, product photography — we recommend a physical proof printed on your actual stock rather than a digital one.
When a color has to be exact, use a spot color. Instead of building it from process inks, the ink is mixed to a specified Pantone reference and applied from its own plate. Consistent across the run, and consistent when you reprint.
Paper is the other decision people regret making from a screen. We send stock samples, and for a project of any size we'll make an unprinted dummy — your book, your paper, your page count — so you can judge the weight in your hand first.
With bleed and crop marks. Native InDesign packages, Photoshop files and high-resolution TIFFs also work if PDF isn't practical.
Critical content stays at least 3/16″ (5 mm) inside the trim; bleed is ⅛″ (3 mm). Case-bound covers need considerably more, and spine width depends on your final page count and stock.
600 dpi or vector for line art and logos. Archive photographs often need restoration — that's work we do rather than a reason to reject the file.
Build the cover file after the text block is locked, not before. Spine width changes with page count and paper, and a cover built early almost always has to be rebuilt.
We send a setup guide for your specific binding once specs are confirmed — page order and cover construction differ between saddle stitch, perfect binding and case binding.
Don't have a print-ready PDF with bleed and margins? We'll build one. Send what you have — a Word file, loose images, a previous edition — and our in-house design team turns it into press-ready files. You don't need to memorize any of the above. When in doubt, just ask. Siha takes care of it.
A first-time importer and a company with its own freight contracts need different things. Pick the option that fits.
Printing through to your door. Ocean freight, customs entry, duties and taxes, and inland delivery are all inside one quoted figure.
No customs broker to find. No importer registration to set up. Just be there to receive it.
We carry the shipment to a US port. Your broker clears it, and you arrange the inland leg from there.
If you already work with a customs broker, this is often the simplest route — they already know your account and your paperwork.
We deliver to the port in Busan. Your forwarder takes it from there and controls the entire route.
Companies with real annual volume usually hold contract rates with a carrier that we can't match. If that's you, use them.
| Who does what | All-Inclusive | Port Delivery | You Arrange It |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ocean freight | Siha Printing | Siha Printing | You |
| Customs entry | Siha Printing | You | You |
| Duties & taxes | Siha Printing | You | You |
| Inland delivery | Siha Printing | You | You |
Tell us the destination and quantity and we'll quote all three side by side.
Every quote states the incoterm and where our responsibility ends. A clear handover point keeps every shipment on track.
Freight is itemized and billed at cost — no markup. Printing is a fixed price. Freight is what carriers charge us, confirmed at booking. If carriers add a fuel surcharge between quote and sailing, it appears as its own line, at cost.
Copies are inspected before packing and again before release. If a production defect still gets through — misprinting, binding failure, ink problems — we reprint or refund the affected copies, whichever shipping option you chose. Even if you find it opening the boxes at your loading dock.
Responsibility in transit follows your shipping option: All-Inclusive keeps the shipment under our management to your door; with Port Delivery and You Arrange It, everything past the handover point is yours or your forwarder's. The matrix above lays it out.
What this doesn't cover is content. If there's a typo in the file you approved, the reprint is at cost — which is why we'd rather you spend an extra day on the proof than save one.
Send specs — format, page count, quantity, stock, finishing — and print-ready files.
Confirmed specs, pricing and a production calendar within three business days.
A physical sample, produced and couriered by air — on your desk in about a week. Nothing runs without your approval either way.
Printing, finishing, binding — one week. Case binding takes three.
Shipping, customs clearance, delivery to your address.
The long part isn't production — it's the ocean. Order to door runs five to seven weeks. We build the schedule backward from your date, so the earlier you ask, the more options you have.
